Newquay – England

Newquay

“The coastal town of Newquay has a young and adventurous aroma. It is a youthful destination which attracts both English and foreign visitors. There is a party atmosphere in the English summer and the town hosts the annual festival of Boardmasters once a year. The beaches stretch along the coastline and surfers flock to the area to get the best waves in the country.

The vibrant nightlife is filled with hen and stag parties mixed with younger generations. Clubs such as Berties, Sailors and walkabout are advised for a good night out. The food and drink is similar to most; however, the majority of bars offer happy hours in season.

This unique destination is particularly popular in the high season, between January and March. With many travelers visiting Palolem it is a lively part of Goa and the local bars are something not to miss. The long beach runs parallel to a variety of beach huts that can be hired for the night at low costs. With beautiful sunsets, and a variety of watersports visiting Palolem for a short stay is a must when visiting South Goa.

Tip – The seafront drive from Varca to Palolem is quiet and a scenic route. We spotted monkeys on our way and passed through local villages. The drive by scooter was around two hours without stopping.
